ENDING SUMMER NIGHTS

I decided to release an old short story of mine in Kindle format. For $0.99 cents you can read something I enjoyed writing and was published years ago in an online magazine. It's a horror-thriller. But more thriller.

An aging hitman is hired to kill a worthless, blackmailing scumbag. After putting six slugs into his target, he realizes, this mark might be something more than he was lead to believe.

Ending Summer Nights is a work of short fiction by award-winning author Kevin James Breaux. It is horror with a supernatural twist.

Hope you all like it. It's short but fun!

Dark Water: Beaming Smile now 99 cents!

Hi all,

My award-winning horror novelette, DARK WATER: BEAMING SMILE is now .99 cents!

It's a perfect read for the season. It is scary and thrilling with elements of horror and urban fantasy.

Sarah should have left Montgomery County when she had the chance, but now it's too late. She is trapped on the rooftop of her family home which is almost completely submerged by dark flood waters. The air smells of a mixture of sewage and mold and it’s still raining. Alone with only her thoughts Sarah is mad she did not leave town years ago when she was right out of high school, before she became the one things she dreaded most; her mother.

Haunted by the reoccurrence of an eerie thumping sound, Sarah is startled when she discovers a large hairy animal, almost the size of a cow, brushing against the corner of her house. What is it? Where did it come from? What other horrors are hiding in the dark water?

Sample of a 5 star rating on Amazon.

"I'm not a big horror fan, but after a conversation with the author, he had assured me that this was not a full-out horror fest. I gave it a read and ended up being pleasantly surprised. I kept expecting something terrifyingly freaky (what with all that thumping in the night), but Kevin James Breaux managed to keep the scare-level just right. It's a story about human nature, of a person filled with thoughts of 'what-ifs' and life choices made. There is despair and regret, moments of joy, however fleeting, fear and guilt. It's also about plain and simple retribution - no matter the circumstances." -TK
